Amarachi joins Wood IP as a trademark intern, with a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property (IP) and Technology Law from the University of Illinois College of Law. She possesses deep expertise in various aspects of IP law, including trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Her responsibilities include drafting and reviewing various IP-related legal agreements, conducting extensive trademark searches using advanced IP analytical tools, managing product marks, and enforcing IP rights. With experience at law firms as an IP intern, Amarachi has assisted with trademark strategy development, managed IP portfolios, and collaborated closely with innovators to align IP advice with business strategies. She has supported clients across diverse industries, including technology, hospitality, and advertising, and provided strategic advice on integrating IP with business goals to maximize asset value. Amarachi has also played a key role in IP due diligence, identifying risks and opportunities within IP portfolios.

In addition to her IP expertise, Amara has a strong focus on cybersecurity breach incident response, particularly in its intersection with IP, data privacy, and protection. She has coordinated response efforts, conducted risk assessments, and ensured compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Her experience also includes internships, such as her role as an IP Intern at a record label, where she collaborated with senior legal professionals on drafting music distribution and license agreements and updating agreement templates for compliance.

In her spare time, Amarachi enjoys yoga and tennis, which help her maintain a healthy work-life balance. She is also passionate about community service and global outreach, having volunteered with non-profit organizations, including the World Health Organization.
