Linda A. Kuczma is a highly experienced intellectual property attorney whose practice focuses on helping clients protect, manage, and enforce their brands and other valuable IP assets. She advises clients on a broad range of trademark, copyright, licensing, and brand enforcement matters, with experience in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings, trademark litigation, trademark investigations and clearance, U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution, portfolio strategy, advertising review, and cease-and-desist disputes. She also works closely with clients on intellectual property licenses, settlement and consent agreements, and copyright registration and enforcement issues.

Before joining Wood IP, Linda served for eleven years as a TTAB Administrative Trademark Judge, where she presided over oral arguments and authored precedential and non-precedential decisions across a wide range of trademark issues. Her work on the Board involved questions of likelihood of confusion, dilution, abandonment, descriptiveness, genericness, trade dress, functionality, fraud, priority, and statutory entitlement (i.e., standing), as well as complex evidentiary matters arising under the Lanham Act and the applicable procedural rules.

Linda also brings substantial private practice experience from her time at Barnes & Thornburg LLP and Banner & Witcoff, Ltd., where she represented clients in TTAB proceedings, federal trial and appellate litigation, and domestic and international intellectual property matters, including strategic procurement and management of intellectual property rights. Across both private practice and government service, she has developed a thoughtful, practical approach to trademark and copyright counseling, brand protection, licensing, and enforcement.
