Valérie Cambronne is a 2020 graduate of American University Washington College of Law and an attorney practicing in Washington, DC. At Wood IP, Valérie will focus her practice on domestic trademark prosecution, clearance, enforcement, and brand protection.

While in law school, Valérie interned at a DC area trademark firm where she prosecuted trademark applications.  She also researched questions of law pertaining to Lanham Act issues and conducted preliminary clearance searches including trademark, corporation, and Internet

domain name searches for all incoming applications.  Valérie also served as Senior Staffer for the American University Intellectual Property Brief, Chair of the Fashion Law Society, Director of Alumni Affairs for the Mid-Atlantic Black Law Student Association, and a member of the Mock Trial Honor Society.

Following graduation, Valérie clerked at Washington DC Superior Court in the Criminal Division.  As a law clerk, she managed an active Felony I and Felony II criminal calendar. She also drafted dispositive and substantive orders for all motions received in chambers including evidentiary matters, compassionate release motions, and motions in limine.

In 2020 Valérie and a colleague founded LegallyBlackIP, an organization dedicated to empowering and educating communities on the value of IP protection.
